Tools

Duration

Job Description

MotenTate LLC. interviewed me for one of their clients that was in need of a web developer. After not getting the position, I asked if MotenTate LLC. would be interested in hiring me to fix their site, which was severely broken. WordPress had updated quite a bit since their last build and certain plugins had become corrupt. Their blog page was a big concern for them as they were interested in posting more, so part of my responsibilities was to build the blog better as well.

After, I remain in touch with MotenTate LLC. and continue to help with ongoing maintenance of their site and buisness.

Site Maintenance

MotenTate LLC. had previously purchased a theme to use as their website, but with updates and no maintenance to the code, things started to break. I came in at just the right time too, because the organization wanted to start utilizing the blog, which was being displayed as a list (full article after full article).

With my help, we were able to fix the site’s homepage, several inside pages, and create a beautiful index.php page for their blog.

Process

The tip of the Iceberge was the homepage which the logo was in two places and the video hero section wasn’t even working. I replaced the vide with a professional stock image and discovered the issue with the logo and fixed it.

The blog was a straight to the point concept; there’s a sticky feature for important articles and the rest of the articles are displayed in a card format below.
